My Dad

Tall, smart, clever, very funny, quiet, slightly racist, occasionally violent haha, dog lover, fake man United Fan, hard working, pub goer, and had the cleanest car I've ever seen. But above all DECENT.

All the above describe my dad, who passed away on April 1st 2015 that date alone would have pissed him off lol.

Never heard him swear (unlike me) and out of all the things he could have passed to me I got a big nose.

He wasn't the sort of person you spoke to about your problems, but if you went to him he would do something about it. Fiercely loyal and protective, first class Grandad, having practised on me and my sisters lol. Not keen on people giving him the rose coloured spectacles treatment because he wasn't perfect, and to say he was insults him in a way because as a whole person he was immense and Old School, sad I didn't get to see him grow really old because he would have been hilarious and cantankerous 

Vegetarianism

Well I lasted 1 week 4 days until last night when me and Mrs W had a date night and I buried my face in a chicken byriani, ah well don't drink don't smoke fuck it nobody's perfect

Weight loss and fitness

I currently weigh in at 14 stone 11, at my heaviest I was 20 stone at my lightest I was 14 stone 4. 

After watching Mrs W start running around about June 2014 I decided to embark on the Couch25K programme, literally unable to run 100 yards without feeling like I was going to die, the first couple if running/walking sessions  were quite manageable, spurred on by a nice lady and my music over the headphones. 

A few weeks in and I was able to run for 8 minutes non stop which felt like a great achievement, quitting never occurred to me because I'm stubborn, the sweaty feeling and the post run hot shower were becoming quite addictive, I lost 8 pounds in the first week. 

Getting near the end of the 9week programme I entered the Manchester 10K  race for the following May 2015, completed it in 1 hour 9 minutes, very proud of myself, and good money raised for "When you Wish Upon a Star? More about them later

My wife Rachel has always loved animals, she volunteered at a rescue Centre, and she introduced me to Pablo ( named after Pablo Zabaletta)  I looked at her and said "bitch" haha she knew he's be coming home with us, despite already having Dotty the Border Terrier 2 guinea pigs a cat and some fish, turns out to be the best thing we've ever done, he's almost human in his eyes and is loyal beyond belief now he's not legging it every 5 minutes and jumping out of upstairs windows

12 miles

Currently I am trying to reach 12 miles in my long run days in preparation for the Yorkshire Marathon in October, also cross training and about to embark on 8 weeks boxing training for a white collar bout and have entered a team into Total Warrior in Leeds
